Missions

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” -Matt. 28:19-20a

Making Disciples All Around the World

At Current Church, missions are built into our DNA. From children’s ministry to small groups, every step we take leads our congregation toward making disciples all around the world. As partners in the SBC, we are blessed to offer mission opportunities through both NAMB and the IMB, along with short-term mission trips through our church body.

Short-term Mission Trips

Short-term mission trips are missional opportunities that last for a very specific period of time, usually one week to one month. These opportunities can come from one of our missionary partners, or from the church itself as a means to serve a local or global community.

Long-term Missions through the IMB

As partners with the Southern Baptist Convention, our church supports the International Missions Board, or IMB. This organization equips long-term missionaries through the IMB go process. Click the link below to be connected with an IMB representative today.

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man’s spirit by God’s Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others.

Missionary effort on the part of all rests thus upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.
